The Policing Authority has today published its first Assessment of Policing Performance in 2021. The assessment covers the policing performance in the first six months of 2021 and is made primarily but not exclusively against the commitments made by the Garda Síochána in its Policing Plan 2021.
The Policing Authority is pleased to announce that it has made a number of senior appointments in the period 1 May to 31 July 2021.

The Policing Authority has today published the 15th in a series of reports on its assessment of policing performance by the Garda Síochána during the COVID-19 crisis, which was submitted to the Minister for Justice on Monday.
The Policing Authority is pleased to announce that it has made a number of senior appointments in the period 1 February to 30 April 2021.
The Policing Authority will soon publish a call for research applications on ‘The experience of policing in Ireland by diverse and minority communities’. To support the publication on 8 July 2021, the Authority will host an event to provide a brief introduction to the research topic, requirements and application timelines.
The Policing Authority has published its Annual Report for 2020, which was laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas today by Minister for Justice, Heather Humphreys TD.
