The Policing Authority has made a number of appointments to the ranks of Chief Superintendent and Superintendent and to the senior civilian grades in the Garda Síochána in the period 1 February to 30 April 2018.
The appointments to the Garda ranks are made following selection competitions that were conducted in accordance with the statutory framework and the Authority’s Statement of Practice for undertaking each competition. Senior civilian staff in the Garda Síochána are appointed by the Authority following appropriate civil service recruitment processes.
