The Garda Síochána (Policing Authority and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015 provides an
extensive range of functions for the Authority which can be viewed in Remit of the Policing
Authority.
At least four times a year, the Authority holds meetings with the Garda Commissioner in public in
