Effective corporate governance is a central element of the Policing Authority in relation to the completion of the Authority's statutory duties with integrity and in accordance with its statutory requirements. Corporate governance is also an essential part of the proper and effective management of our organisation.
Our Governance Framework (pdf) describes the structures, policies and processes in place to carry out these duties. It also provides for objective assessment of management and corporate performance.
The Authority is subject to the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies and the Civil Service Corporate Governance Standard. The Authority has developed and adopted a number of other governance documents relating to the way in which it operates. These are available below.
