Selection Competition for Appointment to the rank of Chief Superintendent
The Policing Authority is undertaking a selection competition for the purpose of making appointments to the rank of Chief Superintendent in the Garda Síochána.
Eligibility to apply
The following persons are eligible to apply for a competition for appointment to the rank of Chief Superintendent in the Garda Síochána:
- a member of the Garda Síochána not below the rank of Inspector who has served not less than 2 years in that rank on the date on which the competition commences, i.e. 05 September 2018;
- a member of the PSNI not below the rank of Inspector who has served not less than 2 years in that rank on the date on which the competition commences, i.e. 05 September 2018.
Please note that service refers to substantive service at the rank of Inspector.
A competition commences on the latest date on which a candidate may apply, in this case 05 September 2018.
