Knowledge and Research Manager Assistant Principal Level
The Authority is seeking a senior manager to provide strategic leadership in relation to developing the capacity of the Authority to conduct and/or source high quality research and policy development and to ensure that it is presented and communicated in a way that best informs the work of the Authority. The successful individual will also take the lead on developing the Authority’s systems for knowledge management, having regard to the many national and international information sources relevant to the work of the Authority - including management and operational aspects of policing.
The Assistant Principal (AP) is a senior managerial grade and this AP position in the Policy and Research Unit involves a leadership role in managing for results and delivering to high standards with associated staff management and work planning responsibilities.
The successful candidate will play a key role as a member of the Policy and Research Unit to contributing towards the capacity of the Authority to perform its oversight function.

Researcher and Policy Analyst Administrative Officer level 2 year contract
The Authority is seeking one or more qualified researchers to work in the role of Researcher and Policy Analyst. This is an opportunity for a motivated and flexible individual with a strong academic background. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a proven track record of managing and delivering large or complex research projects to a high standard and on time.
It is likely that the research to be undertaken will be wide ranging and may touch on disciplines related to policing, criminology, management and organisational studies. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of policy and submissions on relevant issues. He/she will be part of the Authority’s executive team at an exciting time while the Authority is still developing its research functions.
The person will play a key role as a member of the Legal, Policy and Research division contributing towards the capacity of the Authority and its various sub-committees to perform its oversight function.
